Since La Crosse County implemented the 9-1-1 service in 1983, our agency has answered approximately 700,000 9-1-1 calls
Answering those emergency calls is only one of the vital services we provide and accounts for less than 10% of our incoming phone call totals. Our center also answers non-emergency calls as well as providing dispatch and other support services for pre-hospital medical, fire and law enforcement agencies in La Crosse County. Our team of professional telecommunicators is ready 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist the citizens and visitors of La Crosse County when there is a need for public safety services.
The Public Safety Communications division of La Crosse County Emergency Services responds to public safety needs of people in La Crosse County by providing professional call-taking, dispatch and support services to pre-hospital medical, fire and law enforcement agencies.
