Zetron’s integrated IP-based solutions combine NG9-1-1 call-taking, CAD, GIS mapping, radio/telephony dispatch, and fire station alerting systems. They are expandable, interoperable, and able to support remote and geo-diverse operations. Zetron backs its products with technical support and project-management services (known for technical expertise and responsiveness). It has a worldwide network of resellers, system integrators and distributors. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of JVCKenwood Corporation with offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and numerous field locations.

Zetron introduces paging products for volunteer fire departments (CE-1000).
1982
Telephone access capability is added to paging terminals (DAPT-1000).
1984
The paging terminal line is enhanced by adding voice mail features.
1985
Zetron introduces LMR products, including phone patches, repeater controllers, and radio remote control.
1987
The radio dispatch console system is introduced for public safety applications.
1990
Zetron opens European office.
1992
In relationship with Uniden, Zetron supplies over 10,000 channels of LTR trunking equipment.
1995
The first NENA-compliant 9-1-1 call-taking product is introduced (Series 3100).
1998
Zetron receives ISO certification.
2001
The Advanced Communication System (Acom) is introduced, expanding to large-scaled dispatch center capability.
2001
Zetron opens Asia Pacific region office in Australia.
2002
Distributed systems introduced incorporating FDDI-2 self-healing fiber ring architecture (Acom 3).
2003
Zetron installs the first North American Acom system. The Air Canada install consists of 115 operator positions in five locations.
2004
IP-based interface is delivered between Acom and M/A-Com's OpenSky.
2005
Zetron introduces distributed systems incorporating OC3 fiber architecture (Acom X).
2005
Zetron develops a VoIP interface to the EADS P25 Trunking system.
2006
A VoIP-based SIP radio dispatch system is introduced along with VoIP inter-node connections support for Acom.
2006
Zetron announces P25 interfaces to all major radio manufacturers and compliance with the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) Fixed Station Interface standard (TIA102.BAHA).
2007
Zetron becomes an independent subsidiary of Kenwood Corporation.
